Workshops

As Kent’s leading verbatim theatre company we pride ourselves on delivering inspiring workshops where your students will get to experience the power of verbatim theatre.

Workshops can either be booked as 2, two hour sessions or 3, two hour sessions where students will be introduced to the concept of verbatim theatre and verbatim script development.

During the first session, we will provide students with a subject/stimulus and then support them to record interviews of each other aswell as people from their community. Once the audio has been collected we will work with students and teach them how to transcribe and edit sections of their recordings that will begin to form a verbatim script.

In the second session we will work with students to shape their scripts, weaving together lines taken from the collected audio to form a narrative arc.

An optional third session would guide the students through staging their pieces of verbatim theatre with a sharing at the end of the workshop.

These workshops are for a maximum of 30 students per session and cost £250 per two hour session.
