CO FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Isabelle trained as an actor at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1998. After this she worked as an actor for many years. She then discovered she loved telling the whole story, so she trained as a theatre director in 2017 with the directing program at the Studio Theatre in Washington DC. She completed her Masters in Theatre Making with a focus on verbatim theatre at The University of Kent, graduating with distinction in 2021.

Isabelle wrote and directed ‘Stillmine’ for Portrait in 2022, ‘I am seen, are you?’ for The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury in 2023 and she also wrote and Co-directed ‘Generation FOMO’ in 2024 and the show is currently touring Kent and supported by Kent County Council.

Isabelle is a member of The Writers Room, The Marlowe Theatre.

PRODUCER

Frankie is a theatre producer and creative facilitator with a strong background in event and project management. Having produced a range of performances and community projects for the Power of Women (POW) Thanet Festival, Frankie is passionate about championing inclusivity and creativity. Further experience includes producing roles with Pie Factory Music and Margate Radio, supporting the development of music, arts, and community initiatives.

Through We Who Dare, Frankie leads dynamic workshops that encourage leadership, innovation, and collaboration. Frankie is proud to be part of the creative team bringing Generation FOMO to audience.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As Development Manager for Portrait Theatre, she brings extensive experience across communications, organisational development, and partnership working within the arts, education, and nonprofit sectors.

With a career spanning universities, national charities, public-sector bodies, and independent theatre, her work is rooted in building sustainable organisations that create meaningful public impact.

She is passionate about verbatim and documentary theatre as a catalyst for conversation and social change and has worked closely on the development and outreach of Generation FOMO, connecting the work with schools, communities, and partners.

Gabrielle is also Co-Founder of Whitstable Unplugged, where she collaborates with Portrait Theatre to use verbatim theatre to spark dialogue on young people’s digital lives at both local and national levels. Her development approach is collaborative, values-led, and focused on building sustainable organisations that amplify real voices and real-world impact.
